Oh, hi!

Anne Veal is a creator, performer and educator who specializes in devised and spontaneous theatre. She's also a silly-play-bunny and a practicing chaos witch. It's great that many things can be true at once. By day, she is the Program Director for local improv nonprofit Unscripted, developing curriculums and facilitating in community spaces, recovery centers and the women's prison. Nashville-based since 2021, she has brought her play-infused artistry to a number of projects, both spontaneous and scripted. Anne taught & performed improv in NYC from 2015-2020. She’s performed internationally with Rapid Fire Theatre (CA), Det Andre Teatret (NOR), and the Vancouver International Improv Festival. In her earlier life as an actor, she worked with notable directors Lila Neugebauer, Joe Calarco, and Sean Daniels. Anne’s original devised and scripted work has been seen in Washington, DC; Prague, CZ; Budapest, HU; Chicago, IL; Basin, MT; Louisville, KY; and NYC.
