Oh, hi!

Anne Veal (she/they) is a theatre creator, performer and teacher specializing in improv who is based in Nashville, TN. She works with local nonprofit Unscripted, both in development and teaching at an addiction recovery center and women's prison. You can see her perform at Third Coast Comedy Club with Freak Pony and Improvised Murder Mystery. Before moving to Nashville, Anne spent eight years in NYC, studying, teaching and performing improv. She led a number of devising ensembles and performed internationally with VIIF, Rapid Fire Theatre and Det Andre Teatret. Before falling in love with the autonomy an improv performer has, Anne was a regional theatre actor and member of multiple devising ensembles. Anne's devised and scripted work has been seen in Washington, DC; Prague, CZ; Chicago, IL; Basin, MT; Louisville, KY; and NYC, housed in theatre spaces, haunted mansions and historic buildings. She believes the surprise and accident of the moment are the greatest gifts we can train ourselves to receive, onstage or off.
